How Our Cold
Therapy Works

When the body is exposed to extremely cold temperatures, blood vessels constrict, reducing blood flow to the affected area, which reduces inflammation, swelling, and pain. Cold therapy alleviates pain and promotes faster healing. Compression therapy works by applying pressure to the body to improve blood flow, reduce swelling, and help prevent blood clots. It can be used to treat a variety of conditions and can also speed healing.

The NICE1 machine, the foundation of our program, is an iceless cold and compression therapy device designed to help reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation, particularly after surgery. It provides a hands-free, continuous cold and compression solution, offering an effective alternative to traditional ice packs.

The Problem We Seek to Solve

Since the 1990s, the U.S. has faced an ongoing opioid crisis, with over 760,000 overdose deaths since 1999, two-thirds involving opioids. In 2019, around 10.1 million people misused opioids. Although prescription rates have declined since 2012, some areas still see high rates, while reported pain levels remain unchanged. This highlights the urgent need for non-pharmacological, opioid-free pain relief options to prevent addiction, abuse, and overdose, which we aim to provide with our medical treatments.
